Lakewood Friends & Disneyland

This summer my friends from when I lived in Lakewood Colorado came to visit! It was so neat to visit and hang out. We went on a bike ride and did two days of Disneyland. Vicki lives in Cedar City, Cindy lives in Littleton and Polly lives in Hemet. I'm glad we've stayed friends for all these years.

Granddaughters

We welcome Ryan Taylor and Lucy Jo to our family.

Newest Additions

Well, they both are finally here! We have two new grandchildren and they are both girls!!!
Adam and Jamie found themselves with an emergency c-section on July 20th to bring Ryan Taylor into the world at a whopping 8 lbs 10 oz. She is beautiful and has blonde hair and a cute little nose. She looks like her dad with round cheeks.
Valerie and Chris' little girl finally came August 14th - Lucy Jo weighing in at 5 lbs 12 oz. She stayed for a few days in the NICU but is now home and Grandma Emily has been enjoying her before she heads home to Colorado.
We are so blessed to have these healthy girls join our family. We need to get a new family picture!!!

Babies?

Well, we are wondering why Adam and Jamie's little bambino is still in utero? We are so anxious and excited to see if we have a granddaughter or grandson. Jamie is hanging in there wondering why this little person is not cooperating. We all chose the dates we thought the baby would make its entrance, I think I had the best date 07-08-09, but I guess this little one has other plans. Maybe it will decide to share its birthday with dad! I think it's time to take Jamie on a bike ride, it worked for Adam!!!!

Brigham Young's Home

On our way home we stopped to see Brigham Young's house in St. George. I just loved the old furniture and the green garden. They have a piano that is just like the one my mom and dad have in their home in Garden Grove. I also liked the pot-bellied stove, it reminds me of the one at my Great-Grandpa Fitzgerald's home in Draper.

Marysvale June 09

I borrowed my daughter's camera for our quick vacation to Marysvale, UT. We had such a fun time, too short, but very fun. We rode up some of our favorite trails and even went on a new one. We have stayed in many places, but this place was the absolute worst one ever. It had the overwhelming stench of mildew and we kept the air conditioner/fan blowing 24/7. The view and riding on the Piute Trail is just fabulous, even in a freezing, blinding hail and snow storm where you think you are going to die because of the lightning and thunder as you are on the top of a mountain peak and your fingers and toes are frozen to the bone and feel like they are the size of polish dogs. These are the few pictures I took and hopefully I will add more when my sister-in-law sends me the pictures she took.

Last of February and Beginning of March 09

Still no camera, but have borrowed one from Valerie. I am using her camera to take pictures of the Jurupa Stake Relief Society sisters and put together a slide show for our women's conference in May. I sure hope it turns out!!!

Some new events have taken place since the last post:

1. Chris and Valerie have moved back to CA. They are staying with us until they can get finances together and get their own place.

2. We still don't know what Adam and Jamie are having in July and that is fine. Don't you love a good surprise?

3. Jamie has started to show!!! It is so cute to see and she looks beautiful.

4. We went to Brian & Lisa Foust's wedding, it was very nice and great to see friends that we hardly see anymore.

5. Feel bad, but left the reception early to have dinner with all the kids, it was nice (with the exception of Eric, Laura and the boys not being there)

6. Larry is now cleared to return back to work, now he just needs to find a job!!

7. Valerie is right behind Jamie in the tummy department. I feel so lucky to be having two grandbabies so close to each other. It will be like having twins again.

8. Collin is getting sooooo big. He is such a cute little guy, always has a smile. We are lucky to see him so often. He had his picture taken with James "Bubba" Stewart at Corona/Montclair Yamaha. It was fun to see the riders and get their autographs, James seemed very genuine.

9. Went on a walk/bike ride with Eric and Laura, Andrew and Brandon, Chris and Valerie and Larry. It was a beautiful day, the park was crowded, the bike trail close, and a jump very inviting. Chris took Andrew up and over, piece of cake. Brandon, wanted to go so grandma took him. Going over was easy, the other side was very STEEP! We crashed coming down. Poor Brandon, he still loves grandma even though he did get a scraped knee. My wounds were much worse, one must protect the child!!! Scrapes and bruises and sore shoulder and knees. Valerie crying with laughter and Larry wishing he had a camera. (could have made $$$ on America's Funniest Videos)
